New Dinosaur Museum Exhibit in Summer 2015 in Fairbanks

Thursday, June 26th, 2014

Dinosaurs will roam again in summer 2015, when the University of Alaska (Fairbanks) Museum of the North's new exhibit opens. With a mural by artist James Havens, interactive displays, Alaskan fossils, and a film about searching remote parts of the state for dinosaurs, the new exhibit will be a highlight for naturalists and those interested in learning more about the Arctic's prehistoric past.

A highlight of the exhibit will be the mural that brings the Arctic duck-billed dinosaur to life, a species that grew measured over 25 feet or longer when fully grown. Bones from the Colville River, located in northern Alaska, are part of the thousands collected from the world's richest source of Arctic fossils. A must-see for history buffs!
